During a recent reading at the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego, Asunder Press had the opportunity to photograph former California Poet Laureate Quincy Troupe reading from his just-released book of poetry, "Transcircularities." It was the poet's first appearance since his controversial resignations of both his appointed Laureate post as well as his position as a tenured professor at UCSD.

Though the lighting of the event made digital photography difficult, the images culled from the reading captured Troupe's range of movement in a manner that shows the dynamics of his performance.
